Our History

L.M. McGoodwin founded his original consulting engineering service in Fayetteville, Arkansas, in 1946. Terry Williams joined the firm in 1953, and L. Carl Yates (now president) joined the firm in 1956. The firm was incorporated as McGoodwin, Williams & Yates, Inc, in 1966.

For more than half a century, MWY has served Arkansas and nearby states with engineering and architectural services with a particular emphasis on municipal water and wastewater systems.

Over the years, the firm has adopted a broad array of new technologies, expanded its associated services and developed excellent working relationships with clients and with local, state and federal regulatory agencies.

MWY has maintained a stable financial presence throughout its history and has established an outstanding business and professional reputation in the engineering community.
